Google Will Give you Coupons to Print August 15, 2006

Google to distribute discount coupons – Yahoo! News

As reported by the AP through Google, GoogleMaps is teaming up with the coupon distributors to make printable coupons available off of the GoogleMaps page.  If you ask me, this is the first step towards the whole google shopping experience.  Imagine opening up your neighborhood, typing in “milk” and getting the prices for milk at every store within 10 miles of your home, along with any coupons associated with them.  Then, how about this, you load in your whole shopping list and then google goes out and finds the store where the entire list is cheapest in your neighborhood, then prints out the coupons…

we’re not far from that reality…

In a paper posted at msmobiles.com, roughly 20 different Windows Mobile programs (e.g. MS Money, Password Master 3.5, etc) were examined and found to have a wide range of issues from broken protection schemes to poor encryption algorithms, and more. The paper goes into some details about each program and their flaws and also provides some tips on how to protect your data.”

Slashdot | Pirate Party Launches Commercial Darknet

So there is everything out there right now about the future of the internet…who will control the DNS servers…will we have a two tiered internet?….

do they think about darknets?  It seems everytime anything on the internet becomes more regulated, the more underground everyone who really wants to do the bad stuff goes…

so do you want an open internet with complications, or a sterile internet and a thousand darknets?

Recording Industry vs The People

Well, here it is, the RIAA is showing once again they aren’t out to get
anyone, just protect what is rightfully theirs.  It was so nice of them
to allow the family time to grieve…maybe I’ll send them flowers
instead…

Flickr Photo So this is my first wordpress blog.  I just started it because I started using this new browser called “Flock”.  It’s pretty polished for a .5 release.  It’ll most likely be the new thing pretty soon.  I’m glad I get to use it now!
